Training for New Users on the Voly.org Volunteer Management Platform
I had the pleasure of working with VolunteerNow to create a training course for their new users on the Voly.org Volunteer Management platform. I worked with their current trainer and product manager to develop this online learning solution to supplement or replace their current in-person Instructor Led Training.
The video above shows my work on the project and outlines my responsibilities which included:
- Analyzing existing content
- Working with the current trainer and product manager to better understand the platform and training needs
- Developing a course outline
- Writing storyboards/scripts
- Collecting feedback on the scripts from stakeholders and SMEs
- Creating screencast videos and images
- Recording voiceovers
- Designing slides for use in videos
- Editing videos in ClipChamp video editor
- Creating video transcripts
- Composing various types of assessments
- Designing and developing interactive scenario-based practice opportunities in Articulate Storyline
- Designing PDF reference guides for each Level
- Adding all content to the client’s chosen LMS, MyQuest
- Maintaining frequent and professional communication with the client throughout the project
